The chase cover sits on the top of the chimney under the chimney cap or storm collar. The chase cover or chase pan, protects the interior of the flue from water entry by shedding water off the sides and helps prevent unwanted critters from entering the flue area. Poorly installed or rusty chase covers may allow a water leak into the chimney which may can lead to costly repairs. NFC fabricates and installs chase covers for chimneys. Chimney liners are essential for the safety and functionality of your chimney. The Flue liner assists in venting hazardous fumes & smoke outside of the home. The liner also adds an extra layer of protection from a potential flue fire. Flue fires may occur when the chimney is not properly maintained or using green, fresh cut wood can also cause rapid build up in the flue. Creosote build up in the flue becomes highly combustible. 2nd and 3rd stage build up of creosote and tar may require speciaal Rotary cleaning to strip the flammable material from the flue.
